Encourage and equip men to follow Christ and fulfill their role in God’s kingdom

Bethel Men

Who we are

Spiritual Gifts:

Primary spiritual gifts would be: Serving/Ministering/Hospitality, Leadership, Teaching, Knowledge, and Wisdom.

Purpose:

The purpose of Bethel Men’s Ministry is to encourage and equip men to follow Christ and fulfill their role in God’s kingdom. As men, we need purpose, and were created to do the good works that have been prepared for us in advance. We do these works to point the credit back to the one who rightly deserves it, while celebrating who God is and what he’s done for us.

The men in the church can be described through the roles of fathers, brothers and sons:

Fathers:

Spiritually mature leaders look for others to disciple. The marching orders of the great commission were given to go and teach all that Jesus commanded, and continue the cycle of disciple making. Men who follow Jesus are multipliers of the one who we image.

Brothers:

Men are stronger when we have a band of brothers that rally around us. In community, we are accountable to one another, sharpening, challenging, correcting, being transparent, encouraging and being in the fight together. We do life together and give each other the right to speak truth into one another’s lives.

Sons:

We are children of God, and as his kids, we are called to be in submission to others who we allow to shape us. We listen, and grow and discern what is right and just, and defend God’s truths in a world that contrasts God’s good Word and works. Bethel men are encouraged to serve and share Christ in the church and with the community around them. We’ve each been given a sphere of influence to share our stories, at work, at play, in our families and
community. It is our privilege to be able to share the hero of our story!
